Elling performs alongside Monterey Jazz Festival singer Veronica Swift, and saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin. The band is directed by pianist (and Connecticut native) Christian Sands, whose third album won a Grammy for the best instrumental composition. Sands is anchored by his longtime rhythm section, bassist Yasushi Nakamura and drummer Clarence Penn.
