Art Exhibit, Family Event in New Canaan to Promote Girls’ Confidence

The Carriage Barn Arts Center will open an exhibit, May 27, “She Is Rising,” a celebration of women of various ages, backgrounds and ethnicities — some captured from life, and others imagined — who represent female power. — an announcement from LiveGirl

LiveGirl, a co-sponsor of the exhibit, also will host a “celebratory event” outside the Carriage Barn on Friday, June 4. “Family Fun Friday” is a “celebration of female power and the arts” featuring carnival games, an art scavenger hunt, cocktails, Flaco’s Taco Truck, Darien artist/activist TL Duryea “completing a masterpiece,” live music by Melissa Wasserman. ‘Becoming an Inclusive Leader’ — a LiveGirl Panel Discussion for Girls and Women

Girls and women of all ages are invited to a free, virtual leadership panel, “Becoming An Inclusive Leader,” hosted by LiveGirl, Stone Point Capital, and Debevoise & Plimpton on March 30. Participants will hear from a diverse panel of accomplished female leaders to explore career paths and learn leadership tips. The panel will feature women from Debevoise & Plimpton, Focus Financial, Leader in Motion, and Stone Point Capital. Each will share her leadership experiences on everything from mentorship to networking in order to help young women realize their leadership potential. “Having visibility to female mentors and role models is crucial to young women building confidence,” LiveGirl Founder and CEO Sheri West said.
