Customer’s Wallet Reported Stolen from Shopping Cart at Supermarket on Saturday
|
A woman who had her wallet in her shopping cart at Whole Foods told police Saturday, May 25 that it was missing by the time she went to the register. The woman told police about the missing wallet at 3:36 p.m. that she was certain she had the wallet with her when she entered the store at 150 Ledge Road, and she had put her wallet in the child seat of her cart, police said. Inside the wallet was $60 in cash, her driver’s license and various bank cards, according to police. She told police that she left the cart unattended twice while shopping. The police announcement about the theft did not say whether or not police had reviewed any video surveillance records from the store, as has been done in the past.
