The Darien Police Department is very pleased to announce that Lt. Robert Shreders, currently assigned to the Training Division, graduated on Friday, June 8 from the 272nd Session of the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. — an announcement from Darien Police Department
The FBI NA has been long considered the preeminent executive training for police professionals, both here and around the world. From the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation:

“The FBI National Academy, initially established in 1935 as the ‘FBI Police Training School’, is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers nominated by their agency heads because of demonstrated leadership qualities. The 10-week program—which provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science—serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.”

Chief Ray Osborne and Capt. Don Anderson, a graduate of the 245th Session of the FBI NA, attended the graduation ceremony held on Friday, June 8.
On behalf of the chief and the entire Darien Police Department, we offer heartiest congratulations to Lt. Shreders for a job well done.
