The town government of Darien has worked to secure 400 trees and plants from Eversource to distribute on Saturday, April 29, to Darien residents in recognition of Arbor Day. These trees are in addition to plantings committed by Eversource after their recent clear cutting near the Metro North Railroad line. — an announcement from Darien town government

One plant per family will be distributed on a first come first served basis. The trees will be given away to residents who drive through the tree distribution site at the Noroton Heights Railroad Station parking lot, on the New Haven bound side of the tracks (the side closer to Heights Road). Volunteers, including members of the Darien Scouts and Darien Green Team will be there to assist.
