Free Trees Available April 29 to Darien Residents, One Per Family

The town government of Darien is giving away 400 trees and plants given by Eversource to distribute on Saturday, April 29, to Darien residents in recognition of Arbor Day. These trees are in addition to plantings committed by Eversource after its recent clear cutting near the Metro North Railroad line. — an announcement from Darien town government
One plant per family will be distributed on a first come first served basis. The trees will be given away to residents who drive through the tree distribution site at the Noroton Heights Railroad Station parking lot, on the south side of the tracks (enter from Hollow Tree Ridge Road). Volunteers, including members of the Darien Scouts and Darien Green Team will be there to assist.
