Man, 46, Charged With Leaving the Scene After Bumping Into Car at Intersection

A 46-year-old Norwalk man struck a vehicle stopped at an intersection in Darien, then asked the driver if she was all right, but he drove off before police arrived, Darien police said. But the driver of the other car took a picture of his license plate, which allowed police to identify the man, a resident of Juniper Road in Norwalk, police said. Police gave this further information, including accusations not proven in court:
The accident occurred at the intersection of Noroton Avenue and Ledge Road sometime on Monday, Nov. 13. In their news release, police did not say whether there was any damage or even visible scratches on either vehicle.
