A town resident told police his security camera recorded two people, hooded and masked, in his driveway as they tried to open a car door at 3:47 a.m.
The incident took place on Saturday, June 5, on Musket Lane, which is off of Raymond Street, not far from the Norwalk line. No damage was done to the vehicle, police said. In recent months and years, police news releases have increasingly noted residents’ reports of home security cameras showing nighttime attempts to enter vehicles parked outside, as well as other attempts to steal things. The most recent incident caught on camera was on May 25, on the opposite end of town — in that case, police reported that the prowlers were dressed all in black, but the report didn’t mention masks or hoods.
