Stop & Shop at Goodwives Shopping Center will be celebrating its renovated space with a “Grand Reopening Ceremony” at 11 a.m., Friday, along with giveaways, food samples, a ribbon cutting and a visit from former New York Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich, the company announced.
According to the announcement:
“Stop & Shop’s updated store aims to deliver fresher, healthier, and more convenient options that make grocery shopping easier for local customers.
“New features like a stir fry station, a wing bar, and an in-store smoker also provide easy solutions for meals to take on the go.
“Customers will enjoy a faster checkout with Stop & Shop’s SCAN IT! mobile app along with a large selection of local Connecticut offerings including craft beers as well.”
As part of the celebration, the store will also present Person-to-Person with a $1,000 donation.
At the ribbon cutting will be state Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff and Darien Selectman Kip Koons, Stop & Shop President Gordon Reid and Wayne Pesce, president of the Connecticut Food Association.
