Police: Woman Yells and Throws Cups in Chipotle Restaurant

When a 29-year-old woman who was picking up a delivery at Chipotle restaurant on the Post Road asked an employee for a cup, she was told she would have to pay for it; she not only refused but began yelling at the employee, police said.

Darien police gave this further account of what happened, including accusations not proven in court:

Police were called to the restaurant at 71 Post Road shortly before 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.

The employee told police that the woman, a Stamford resident, argued, got upset and came around the counter, then started yelling at the female employee.

A witness told policee that the woman began throwing cups as she was yelling. Police reviewed surveillance video recordings and confirmed that the woman did go behind the counter, yelled and threw cups.

The woman, a resident of Custer Street in Stamford, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and issued a misdemeanor summons to appear May 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
