In a heated argument with someone on Sunday afternoon, a 19-year-old Darien man kicked open a bedroom door to further confront that person, who then called police, Darien police said.

The teenager was issued a misdemeanor summons charging him with disorderly conduct, and police told him not to have further contact with the victim before the man appeared in court the next day.

Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

Sometime before 2:49 p.m., when police were called, the argument ended when the victim went to a second-floor bedroom and locked the door. The teenager followed, kicked the door open and confronted the other person.

When police came and talked to both parties, the teenager corroborated the sequence of events that the victim described.

The misdemeanor summons required the teenager to appear the next day, Monday, in state Superior Court in Stamford. There was no bond. The teen’s next court date is Dec. 3.
