Online submissions are now being accepted in an Open Call to Artists for the Spring Juried Show at Rowayton Arts Center from March 14 to April 10, 2021.

The show is open to all artists interested in exhibiting their artwork. The deadline is Feb. 21.

Categories include: oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, mixed media, color photography, black and white photography, sculpture, printmaking, pastels or drawing.

Submit pieces for consideration at http://rowaytonarts.org/entries. Deadline is Feb. 12, 2021 and accepted artists will be notified by Feb. 19, 2021.

Visit the RAC website rowaytonarts.org for the prospectus and other information. The opening reception — from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, March 14 — is free and open to the public.

The judge for the exhibition is Cebele Maylone, executive director of the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield since 2018.  Cybele previously served for five years as executive director at UrbanGlass, an artist glass studio in Brooklyn.

Prior to UrbanGlass, she was deputy director of apexart, a contemporary art space, and associate development director for individual giving at the New Museum of contemporary art, both in Manhattan. Cybele is a graduate of Earlham College (Art History) and Teachers College, Columbia University (M.A. Arts Administration).

The Chair for the show is Carol Fay and the Co-chair is Ronnie Gold.

RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community.
