Three vehicles were entered by thieves last week in two separate incidents on different sides of town. A laptop was taken from one vehicle, police didn’t say anything was reported missing from the two others, which were parked at the same address.
Police gave these accounts of the incidents:
The theft was reported Tuesday, April 28. A woman told police she parked her vehicle in a parking lot at Darien Commons, off of Heights Road, between 2:50 and 3:50 p.m. When she returned to the vehicle she saw that her MacBook laptop was missing. She told police she was unsure whether or not the vehicle was unlocked. Police did not report any signs that the vehicle had been broken into.
In the second incident, a week before (on Tuesday, April 21) a Raymond Street resident discovered at about 6 p.m. that both of her vehicles had been rummaged through. She reported the incident to police late the next afternoon. She said both vehicles were unlocked.
