Greens Ledge Lighthouse

— an announcement from the Darien Community Association

While admiring the sunset backdrop to Greens Ledge Lighthouse, Tim Pettee’s daughter stumbled upon the announcement of an auction to purchase it from the federal government, which had owned it since its construction in 1902.

He bought it at that auction for $150,000. With the help of Brendan McGee of the 101 ice cream restaurant in Rowayton and a small board of directors, the lighthouse has been undergoing extensive renovations. Come hear the most up-to-date exciting plans and progress!
