[UPDATE] Wednesday, July 29 — Forget the previously released Darien road paving schedule, the town Department of Public Works says. The Aug. 11 primary is in the way.
The only change: The new schedule switches the dates for Hilton Street (Now Aug. 10 to 13) and a section of Noroton Avenue (now Aug. 7 to 12).
“We learned of a conflict with paving relative to Noroton Heights Fire Department voting place on Aug. 11,” the department announced in a new news release on Wednesday, July 29.
Here’s the revised schedule:
Original story, July 24:
Twelve streets or parts of streets in town are scheduled to be paved from Aug. 6 to 23 in this year’s street paving program, the Darien Department of Public Works announced on Friday.
“Please avoid these roads if possible during these times or use extra caution if you must travel on these roads,” the DPW announcement said, adding that the detailed schedule could always change based on weather conditions.
