Violence Crisis Center will host its second annual HarvestFest, a fundraising event, on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Fairfield Hunt Club in Westport.

The evening will feature live music and entertainment, auction items, a photo booth, signature fall cocktails and a selection of hors d’oeuvres to celebrate the season. The event will take place in the beautiful, rustic chic setting of the hunt club. Doors open at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the evening will benefit DVCC and its programs.

Harvestfest DVCC November 2019“We are looking forward to a fun, spirited evening to raise funds and build awareness for the issues surrounding domestic violence,” said Boardie Kurz, development director at DVCC. “October is domestic violence awareness month. As our outreach efforts for the month come to completion, this is an excellent time to celebrate the work of DVCC, its volunteers and supporters.”

Domestic Violence is the number one health issue facing women and children in the U.S, and the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 to 44.

The mission of DVCC is to provide effective services, support and education for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence across Connecticut and beyond. DVCC serves the communities of Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton.

The organization, coming into its 40th year, provides safe housing, legal advocacy, counseling, sustainability services and preventive education.
