— an announcement from the YWCA of Darien/Norwalk
Everything is Rosey at 1072 Post Road in Darien offers a wide array of colorful apparel, resort wear and unique holiday gifts.
Light hors d’oeuvres and complimentary wine tastings will be served by local Scout & Cellar representative Sally Betz.
Several gift baskets will be raffled off throughout the evening. Tickets will be for sale at the event and online at www.ywcadn.org. Tickets are $10 each, 3 for $20 or 5 for $30, and winners do not need to be present to win.
Twenty percent of the evening’s purchases go to support the YWCA’s Parent Awareness programming.
“YWCA Parent Awareness is a family-focused program that has provided free support and education to parents and children for over 20 years with the goal of encouraging healthy, positive development of Darien youth and families,” said Marli Hayes, CEO of YWCA Darien/Norwalk.
At the request of the Darien United Way, the YW assumed the program in 1998 from the Council on Drugs and Alcohol, with the goal of replacing the narrower focus of preventing high-risk teen behavior with a broader focus on positive parenting families.
The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving women the support and tools they need to transform their lives, be confident in their choices and raise healthy families.
Its national mission, eliminating racism and empowering women, translates locally into a vision to create opportunities for growth, leadership and empowerment for all women and families.
