Darien YMCA Gymnastics Ranks High at State Championship

Darien YMCA Gymnastics had a strong presence at the 2021 Level 4-6 State Championship on April 9 in Plainville.

Heres how Darien gymnasts from three different levels performed:

Level 4

Tori Brupbacher and Juliet DeStefano were vault champions and earned 2nd place all-around.

Madison Ruggieri had a strong 3rd place finish on beam and 5th all-around, while teammate Reese Jefferson placed 4th on floor and finished 7th all-around. Great job!

Level 5

Sabina Molnar placed 3rd on floor with a beautiful routine and finished 7th place all-around. Congratulations Sabina!

Level 6

Jacquelyn Coppola (pictured below) placed 3rd on vault, 4th on bars & beam, 2nd on floor, and 4th place all-around. Teammate Violet Peroni, had a solid meet, placing 4th on vault, 5th on floor, and 7th all-around.

Courtney Timmeny (pictured below) contributed with a beautiful floor routine, earning a 4th place finish.

Taylor Davies (pictured below) added to the team by placing 4th on vault & bars, 3rd on beam, and 6th place all-around. Maddie McGivney (pictured below) made her USAG states debut, performing a beautiful floor routine. Nicely done ladies!
