Darien’s Veterans Day Observation Takes Place at 10:30 AM, November 11 in Front of Town Hall

The town Monuments and Ceremonies Commission invites you to participate in our annual Veterans Day observation on at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Veterans’ Circle, immediately in front of Darien Town Hall. The ceremony itself will begin at 10:45 a.m. and last 20 minutes. Members of VFW Post 6933 will raise the flag, then lower it to half-staff. There will be a brief reading of the history of Armistice Day/Veterans Day, along with a reading of Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae’s poem “In Flanders Field.”
