Middlesex Middle School Principal Debi Boccanfuso recently gave this speech at the promotion ceremony for the “Class of 2016” leaving middle school for high school:

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Promotion Ceremony for the 2016 Class of Middlesex Middle School. Class of 2016: Whether you are going to Darien High School or a private school, from tomorrow on, you all will be known as the Graduating Class of 2020.  That sounds so far away, but it will be here in a blink of an eye. The theme of this year’s beautiful yearbook is “Celebrate Your Selfie.” On the surface, at quick glance, that might seem a little conceited.

Mural at Middlesex Middle School Shows Opportunities There for Students

Along the first floor hallway at Middlesex Middle School (MMS), the finishing touches are being made to an out-of-this-world installation. Students in Art teacher Rebecca Stern’s 8th grade class are completing the first-of-its-kind mural for the school. The mural, which does not have a name yet, has the planet Earth in the center.  

Students representing all the teams and activities orbit the planet. At MMS, students are grouped into teams — four per grade level — which are named by color, such as Red, Yellow, Aqua, Purple, and Green.

Middlesex Middle School Bus Routes: 2015-2016 School Year

Update 5:31 p.m., Monday: 

The school district has made some changes to the bus route schedules by adding back some stops that had been removed in a new scheduling system. Superintendent of Schools Dan Brenner says the changes are “very limited.” The school district website will have updated information, he said, although as of this point the information on changes to bus route schedules is difficult to find on the website. (We just looked, and we couldn’t find it.) The information should be easier to find starting Tuesday, Brenner said. Original article:
