Darien Library Presents Its 2017-2020 Strategic Plan

At this presentation, Library staff members will discuss the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, and also share condensed versions of the feedback we heard from the community over the course of the past six months, followed by a Q&A. After six months of community meetings and staff workshops, the Darien Library has unveiled its new Strategic Plan. In a change from previous strategic plans, we began our planning process with an extensive series of community meetings. Staff members met with representatives from several dozen groups like the League of Women Voters, Darien Men’s Association, Post 53, and the YWCA, as well as local churches, Town boards, and internal advisory boards. Rather than asking about the Library, though, meetings asked participants to answer questions like: What do you think Darien will be like in ten years?
