Three relatives — one from Vermont, another from Texas and a third from Missouri — received misdemeanor summonses to appear in court after they fought, in one case by swinging a pan at another person’s head, police said. The following account from police includes accusations not proven in court:

Police were called to the house, somewhere in Darien at 9:17 p.m. on Christmas Eve, when plenty of people were stirring. One 57-year-old man from Richardson, Texas was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor; a 54-year-old man with the same last name from Milton, Vermont got an identical charge. A 22-year-old woman, also with the same last name, from Kansas City, Missouri, was charged with both disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. All three were told to appear in court on Dec.

On Friday evening, a 23-year-old Darien man in a dispute with a person he was dating came up with various ways of acting offensive in a series of actions that didn’t stop until the victim finally called 9-1-1, police said. Darien police described what happened with this account (including the victim’s description of what happened before police arrived), including accusations not proven in court:

Robert Oxer Jr., 23, was in a dating relationship with the victim and had spent Thursday night with the victim (state law prohibits police from giving any identifying information about the victim, including sex, age and what town the victim is from). The victim told police:

At some point that night, Oxer became angry with the victim, telling the victim that the victim was “ruining” his life. He drove the victim onto Interstate 95 to Westport and back to Darien, at points driving faster than 100 mph in an attempt to scare the victim. The two returned to Oxer’s home at 166 Pear Tree Point Road.

A 44-year-old Petticoat Lane man assaulted a person in his home in various ways, with children in the home aware of what happened, sometime before 8:30 a.m., Friday, when a 911 call was first made, Darien police said. The very graphic description that follows describes an unusually high degree of violence. Darien police gave this account describing a domestic violence incident and the police response to it. The account includes accusations not proven in court (see the updates, a comment from the man’s lawyer, at bottom of the article and an update about the case being dismissed in court, a common occurrence after domestic violence charges):

Officers dispatched to the home were told that the caller had hung up twice and was not answering return calls. When police got there, they found the victim (in accordance with state law, police did not say if the victim was a man or woman, adult or child) in the driveway flagging them down.
