A Bloc of Writers, a Greenwich-based writing, editing, and tutoring company, has launched a new service called Essay Rx, designed to help students proof, polish, and perfect their college admissions essays. “With less than a month before regular decision applications are due, students need a way to receive quick, professional feedback on their college essays,” said Michele Turk, founder of A Bloc of Writers. — This article previously was published by Greenwich Free Press. Essay Rx is also geared toward students who already applied to their first-choice colleges either early action or early decision who might be deferred or rejected in mid-December. Many of these students don’t have a backup plan, and they scramble to write a dozen or more essays in a two-week time frame, Turk said.
