DPW Director Ed Gentile presents proposal to raise Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) fee from $118 → $125 per ton.
Zagrodzky questions 14-fold rise in hauler tonnage since 2019 (248 → 3,682 tons):
• Gentile thinks “we are probably taking garbage from nearby towns… there’s really no other place for haulers to go.”
Gentile reminds residents:
• Recycle aggressively — it still saves money.
• Food scraps are heavy: removing them reduces costs.
