Can you spare 20 hours this spring? In 20 hours, you can make a difference by becoming a 2024 community grant volunteer with The Community Fund of Darien.

— an announcement from The Community Fund of Darien

Each year, the organization pools together donor contributions to expand funding for deserving nonprofits. Our community grant volunteers (CGVs) play an important role in helping us determine where our donors’ funds can make the most impact.

The Community Fund of Darien logo 2024“Being a CGV gave me insight into many of the struggles that are very real within a short drive of your doorstep,” said Mollie F., a 2023 community grant volunteer.

From March through mid May, join The Community Fund of Darien’s team of CGVs to help us us evaluate grant applicants. Serving as a CGV is a great opportunity to learn about local nonprofits and the needs that exist in our community, meet new people, and directly impact 2024 grant decisions.

Maggie C., a 2023 community grant volunteer, said, “It’s a good feeling to know the work and research we’ve all done as volunteers will ultimately help our neighbors who need it most.”
