— an announcement from Atria Darien
Linda McKie McClellan is a long time resident of Westport. Painting and drawing since childhood, Linda’s inspiration comes from nature. Flowers, trees, rocks and the sea shore influence her richly colored pieces. She is a painter, printmaker, collagist and experimenter with new mediums.
She is currently working with water based mediums, which include acrylic, watercolor, and water based oil paint. She is currently teaching a class at the WCSA in Westport.
Linda has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Connecticut and New York. Her artwork is in private collections from Maine to Florida. She accepts commissions and offers limited workshops upon request.
Teaching is Linda’s passion. She is available for individual and group instruction.
Her studies include the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, the Wooster Art Center in Danbury, and Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk.
Linda has also studied with local painters Betsy Beach, Lisa Arnold (Silvermine Guild), Richard Byrnes (The Greenwich Art Society), and Peter Konsterlie (University of Bridgeport).
