This holiday season, skip the scissors and tape and let The Depot’s team of student “elves” handle the wrapping!
From Dec. 18 through Dec. 23, The Depot Youth Center will host Darien’s biggest holiday hack: the annual “Wrap Up,” which raises money for The Depot.
— an announcement from The Depot
For a minimum donation of $40 and a suggested donation of $4 per gift, Darien residents can drop off their unwrapped gifts and pick them up beautifully wrapped, ribboned, and ready to slide under the tree or menorah.
Participants can either bring their own wrapping paper, ribbon, and tags, or let the Depot’s student volunteers choose from their festive collection of supplies.
This year’s Drop Off hours are:
-
Thursday, Dec 18 — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
-
Friday, Dec 19 — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-
Saturday, Dec 20 — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
-
Sunday, Dec 21 — 12 noon to 5 p.m.
-
Monday, Dec 22 — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
-
Tuesday, Dec 23 — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Between shopping, hosting, and traveling, the holidays can feel overwhelming. The Wrap Up is the perfect way to check one thing off your list while supporting a great cause,” said Byrne Pozzi, president of The Depot’s Board of Directors. “It’s a win-win. Your gifts will look amazing, and you’re helping us continue programs that give Darien’s youth a place to connect, grow, and give back.”
All proceeds from the Wrap Up benefit The Depot Youth Center’s programs for teens and tweens, which include student-led clubs, leadership initiatives, and community service opportunities that foster belonging and resilience among local youth.
Whether you’re wrapping for one or 20, The Depot’s Wrap Up is your shortcut to a stress-free holiday season — and a meaningful way to give back to the Darien community.
