Darien Masons from Ivanhoe Lodge No. 107 along with the town of Darien’s Monuments and Ceremonies Commission Cemetery Commission have joined forces to make this an annual event.
“This is a great opportunity for us to work with volunteers throughout the community,” said Mark Lindsay, organizer for the Masonic Club of Darien. “We thank Chairman Sharon Kells from the Darien Cemetery Committee for helping us make this an annual event.
“People are amazed with the history they learn by visiting these graveyards,” Lindsay said. “The forefathers of our town are buried in these historical locations and we all owe it to them to see that these sites are well kept for years to come.”
Make sure to bring a pair of gloves. For more information, email Charity@DarienMasons.com.
