Rev. Salvatore Sapienza has been chosen as the third pastor in the 77-year history of the United Church of Rowayton.

Sapienza, a New York City native, spent the past 10 years as the senior pastor of Douglas United Church of Christ in Saugatuck, Michigan, where the congregation’s membership quadrupled during his tenure. His sermon videos have amassed more than half-a-million views on YouTube.

A graduate of NYU and All Faiths Seminary, Sapienza is also the author of Mychal’s Prayer: Praying with Father Mychal Judge and Childish Thinking: How the Church Keeps Us Stuck in Sunday School.
