Peter Guy Ham, a resident of Southbury and a former longtime resident of Darien, passed away on Friday, March 1 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family.He was 78. Born on Sept. 22, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William Guy and Pauline Ham. Peter graduated from Darien High School and served with the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime local Darien builder owner of Peter G. Ham, Inc. He served with the Darien Fire Department, Noroton Fire Department and Southbury Volunteer Fire Association.

Meridith Ackerman Beaman, 89, of North Hampton, New Hampshire passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Feb. 16, at her home. She was born on Aug. 23, 1929 in Boston to the late Dean W. and Gladys M. (True) Ackerman. Meridith was raised in Moorestown, New Jersey and Darien.

William Kent Haydock, longtime resident of Darien, passed on peacefully at home on Feb. 4 at the age of 93. He leaves his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, the former Caroline Pinckney Prioleau (Pinky), whom he married in Charleston, South Carolina, as well as their three children and families. Kent was the son of the late Roger and Marjorie Kent Haydock of Wyncote, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. Following his graduation from Cheltenham High School, where he captained the wrestling team and won the all-suburban wrestling championship, Kent entered the U.S. Naval Air Corps.

Dorothy Elizabeth Zuck Lothrop, a former 30-year resident of Westport and wife of the late James Denny Lothrop, died peacefully on Jan. 2 in her home at Atria Darien. She was 95 years old. Dorothy was born on June 15, 1923 in Evanston, Illinois to Ralph Everett and Marion Ethel Patterson Zuck. She spent her childhood living in the same home, next door to her best friend, and surrounded by a large extended family.
