A Darien woman, 48, slapped another family member, who then took a phone and started to leave when she followed the person and knocked the phone out of the person’s hand, police said. Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

The victim told police that he or she had been slapped by the woman. When police arrived at the home, the victim said the woman had confronted the victim about concerns about their relationship, and the two argued. After the woman knocked the phone out of the victim’s hand, the victim retrieved it and called police. The woman told police there was an argument, but she denied that it ever became physical.

A 57-year-old Darien woman, apparently intoxicated, struck, then kicked a family member, causing that person to fall; the woman then threw a house phone and cell phone at the victim, police said. Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:

Sometime before 12:28 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, the woman arrived at the home, intoxicated, and was told by the victim that she should leave the house, the victim told police. The woman then started striking, then kicking the victim, who fell and then decided to call police, the victim said. In response, the woman threw the phones at the victim.
