UPDATE: This event originally planned for Friday, was rescheduled from to 7 p.m., Sunday. Rewording below reflects that:

A concert SUNDAY night, Sept. 8, featuring physician-musicians will benefit Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Services, who will be on hand for you to meet and look over their EMS vehicles at the Levitt Pavilion in Westport.

The event starts at 7 p.m.

Here’s the Levitt Pavilion’s announcement:

Celebrate and honor the life-saving acts these heroes perform on a daily basis and recognize and remember the sacrifices they make. Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Services personnel will be on site and vehicles will be on public display.  So come early and enjoy a chance to get to know and thank these courageous individuals in person and get a peek behind the curtain of ambulance work.

DNR is one of Connecticut’s most rocking local bands and made up of yet more local heroes: Dr. Bob Altbaum, Dr. Andrew Parker, Dr. Kevin J. Fox, Dr. Rich Frank, Lynn Padell, Fred Ury, and Gnorm.

“Fairfield County’s (almost) all-physician rock band” is known for playing an “infectious” mix of classic rock, Motown, oldies and contemporary hits! DNR delivers danceable vintage tunes from the the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond! You won’t want to be cured!

Free Concert Donations welcome:  All proceeds benefit Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Services.  For those unable to attend the event, secure donations in support of Westport Volunteer EMS can be made here.

The Levitt Pavilion Lawn & Concession open to the public one hour before show-time. Picnics are welcome. For more tips on enjoying your visit to the Levitt Pavilion, click here.
