This talk will present information about early brain development and the critical role that early relationships play. Weitzman will also briefly focus on potential threats to early childhood development.

Parents will learn the importance of responsive parenting and we will brainstorm ways to enhance intentional, child-focused parent-child interactions.

Her talk, part of the “Ask A Professional” series, is sponsored by a partnership between the YWCA Darien/Norwalk and the Stepping Stones Museum for Children.

YWCA Darien/Norwalk Parent Awareness, which has been at the YWCA for 20 years now, “is a series of programs and partnerships to educate parents in the community about various topics,” said Judy Phillips, President & CEO. “Our goal is to help families raise healthy children.”
