Registration is now open for Fairfield University’s biggest celebration in New York City! Since 1988, The Fairfield Awards Dinner has raised more than $20 million for the Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund and other scholarships to help students, regardless of economic or social barriers.

Over 998 scholarships have been awarded from the Fund, including 18 students receiving an average of $31,000 each this year. Three members of the Class of 2023 share the impact of their scholarships in this video.

The Awards Dinner also honors the achievements and volunteer service of distinguished alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the University. This year’s celebration will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City at 6 p.m.

Recognizing professional achievement, outstanding leadership, and volunteer service at Fairfield, this year’s Fairfield Awards Dinner will honor:

⋅Andrew J. McMahon ’89, P’19,’13, chief executive officer and president, Guardian Life Insurance, recipient of the Alumni Professional Achievement Award

⋅Shannon Siwinski ’92, P’16, director, senior trader, BofA Securities, Inc., recipient of the Alumni Service Award

⋅Philip J. Lane, PhD, P’10, Former Associate Professor and Chair, Economics Department, recipient of the Distinguished Faculty/Administrator Award

⋅Monica and John Thompson III, P’23 vice president, player development and engagement, Monumental Sports and Entertainment; and co-founder and executive director, John Thompson III Foundation, recipients of the Parent Leadership Award

Deacon Patrick Toole, chancellor & secretary of the Curia, Diocese of Bridgeport, recipient of the Honorary Alumnus Award

For the second consecutive year, Adrienne Johnson ’91 and Trish Comey Preston ’80 will co-chair the Fairfield Awards Dinner together. Johnson currently serves as head of internal audit and SOX at Apollo Global Management and is serving her third term as an Awards Dinner co-chair. Preston is the former senior vice president, business transformation, legal and franchise, with MasterCard International.
