The Darien Chamber of Commerce invites you to lift your stein at the second annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 4 at the Gardener’s Center, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m.

The  fall evening will feature:

  • Live music by local favorite, Something Fried. The band, originating in Stamford and with a strong presence in Fairfield County, blends psychedelic funk-rock, jam band grooves, rock rifts and deep rock rhythms to keep audiences dancing and engaged.
  • A hearty spread of authentic Bavarian cuisine provided by Michael Joseph’s.
  • German-style beers, specialty German wine tastings, and festive cocktails curated by Sly Bandit and Sipstirs.
  • Traditional Oktoberfest games and prizes — including Best Dressed (Dirndls and Lederhosen encouraged), Stein holding competition and more!

 

Silent Auction Sneak Peek: A curated selection of silent auction items will be previewed right on the Darien Chamber of Commerce website. Bidding opens 10 days before the event.

Auction and event proceeds benefit the Darien Chamber of Commerce programs that support local businesses.

If You’re Going …

The event takes place at the Gardener’s Center, 1396 Post Road, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Tickets, which can be bought online here, are $150 for the general public and $100 for Darien Chamber members.

This is a rain-or-shine event. Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Your name will be at check-in — just show up and grab your wristband for full access to food, drink, and entertainment.

Uber and ride sharing are strongly encouraged.
