Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC), a health center that serves Darien residents, is marking its 20th anniversary with a “Cause for Celebration” evening on Thursday, Nov. 14, with wine and beer pourings compliments of Bev Max, appetizers, live music, a book signing, and a silent auction.

Lauren Braun Costello of Westport, a classically trained chef, cookbook author and food stylist will talk about getting your family to eat healthfully — and like it — on a budget.

The event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Clubhouse Grille, 165 Fillow St., Norwalk. Proceeds from the reception will benefit NCHC’s Healthy Beginnings and Childhood Obesity Prevention programs.

NCHC has been providing compassionate and comprehensive health care within reach of anyone in greater Norwalk and Fairfield County for 20 years, regardless of ability to pay.

NCHC Community Crusaders will be recognized for their encouragement, advocacy, and support of NCHC in breaking down barriers to care.

Honorees include Larry Cafero (Cafero Law and Strategies) of Norwalk, Dan Berta (Fairfield County Bank) of Ridgefield, United Way of Coastal Fairfield County and Pepperidge Farm of Norwalk, and Young Philanthropists from the New Canaan Community Foundation. Storm N Norman, WEBE108 morning drive, will emcee the Celebration.

Among those making this event possible are Benefit Planning Services, an Alera Group Company, Bev Max, Fairfield County Bank and media sponsors Fairfield County Business Journal and WEBE108.
