Darien Library is helping the Darien Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary collect items for U.S. troops abroad with a drop-off box near the library entrance.
They’re looking for small items. Here’s the announcement the library sent out in a recent email:
The Darien Library is partnering with the Darien Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary to collect items for our troops via Operation Care Package. Next time you’re at the Library, why not bring protein bars, beef jerky, dried fruit, ziplock bags, or small toiletry items? All donated items will be sent to deployed soldiers throughout the world. We’re collecting items through the end of March!
The drop-off box (as of Monday afternoon) is located to your left as you go in the library from the parking lot entrance, and it’s right across from the front desk.
