Woman Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident, Six Other Accidents in Darien Last Week

A 56-year-old woman was injured in a traffic accident Tuesday, March 28 when she failed to grant the right of way to an oncoming vehicle and caused a collision, Darien police said.

The accident, one of seven last week, took place at 4:06 p.m. at the intersection of Camp Avenue and Greenwood Avenue. The woman, a Stratford resident, received minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. She was ticketed for failure to yield while making a left turn. The other driver wasn’t injured.

No other motor vehicle accidents in Darien last week resulted in injuries.

On Friday afternoon, March 31, and past midnight into April 1, Darien police responded to seven reports of downed trees and wires as a result of wind and rainy weather. No injuries or damage to property were reported.
