Some northbound traffic lanes on I-95 will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 between Exit 14 in Norwalk and Exit 17 in Westport for “an illumination repair project,” the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced late last week. “Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.”

The announcement continued: “Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.”

Norwalk on Monday and Tuesday

Work on guiderails (also known as guardrails) will take place on I-95 in Norwalk between Exits 14 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday and Tuesday. Some northbound traffic lanes will be closed for certain stretches of the highway.

The guiderail repairs will be performed by Atlas Residential and Commercial Services, LLC.

Greenwich on Monday

Some left lane closures on I-95 between Exits 4 and 5, both on the northbound-traffic and southbound-traffic sides of the highway  are expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, ConnDOT announced. Bridge inspections are the reason, ConnDOT said.

Westport on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

More bridge inspection work will close some right lanes for stretches of Interstate 95, both on northbound- and southbound-traffic sides between Exits 16 to 18. As in Greenwich, lanes are expected to close between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, and the reason is bridge inspection work, ConnDOT announced.

Stamford on Tuesday

For both northbound- and southbound-traffic sides of the highway, right and left lanes will be closed for various stretches of the highway between Exits 6 and 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., ConnDOT said.
