List of Snow Closures, Delays & Weather Updates for Friday [Continual Updates]

Darien Public Schools and these other places in town have announced they are closed Friday because of the snow or have delayed openings:

Update 3:59 p.m.: The National Weather Service published this list of snowfall totals for various towns in Connecticut. A total of 5.5 inches of snow fell on Darien as of 11 a.m.

At various times: Easton’s snowfall total was 9 inches; Danbury received only 2.8 inches, but Bridgeport received 7. Here’s the Connecticut list (go here for New York and New Jersey snowfall amounts):

UPDATE 12:37 p.m.: If you become one of the few in Darien who lose power, call Eversource at 800-286-2000. UPDATE 12:34 p.m.: All road tests for today have been cancelled by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. UPDATE 12:24 p.m.: Hearst Newspapers report the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield has reopened on the southbound-traffic side, while northbound traffic lanes remain closed after accidents and due to the amount of snow on the highway.
