Free Tickets to Stamford Symphony Concerts Available to Those Who Work in Certain Fields

The Stamford Symphony on Wednesday announced a new program, “Appreciation Sundays,” to give free tickets for Sunday concerts to “worthy individuals that serve the Fairfield County community.” For this Sunday, Oct. 14, the symphony is giving free tickets to people who work in nonprofits in Fairfield County. Veterans, health-care professionals, teachers and emergency services professionals will get free tickets at future Sunday concerts. The symphony’s announcement wasn’t clear on whether or not volunteer firefighters are part of the program.

Guest Conductor Paul Watkins, will conduct Haydn, Mendelssohn and Schumann when he takes the podium in Stamford Symphony’s third concert in Our Next Maestro 2017-2018 Season. The concerts at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 17, and 3 p.m., Sunday, March 18. On Sundays, kids under age 18 get in for free.
