‘Dessert War’ Competition for Darien Dessert Lovers at Pre-Valentine’s Sampling Event

Darien Parks and Recreation is craving to announce “Something Sweet” — an upcoming pre-Valentine’s Day “dessert war” and gift boutique! Something Sweet will allow you to indulge with samples of some of the area’s best desserts from local eateries here in Darien! Also, vendors will have an array of gift options. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Mather Center (2 Renshaw Road) from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

Who’s got the best desserts in Darien? Which of these can you get your beloved on a St. Valentine’s Day visit? Find out for $5 this weekend at the “Something Sweet” event, which also features vendors of non-edible gifts for your Valentine. The event, which takes place from 12 noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3 at Mather Center — the Darien Senior Center — at 2 Renshaw Road, the same building as Town Hall.
