June 6, Week 2: Marketing Strategy & Research

Learn the importance of market research and planning to start-up and build a competitive and successful business. Emphasis will be on sound market positioning of a small business’s products or services within its target market that will enhance profitable sales and success.

This fast-paced, entertaining program will teach you, step by step, how to build a successful not-for-profit organization in Connecticut, and identify resources that will help you help those in need. Register online here
You will learn:

how to put together your nonprofit board of directors and management team;
how to find wealthy donors and gain their support and trust;
how to form a not-for-profit corporation or limited liability company (LLC);
how to write applications for government grants;
how to apply for tax-exempt (section 501C3) status from the IRS and the State of Connecticut;
how to market and promote your not-for-profit activities; and
Connecticut government agencies that support not-for-profit organizations, and how to deal with them. About the Presenter
Cliff Ennico, a leading expert on the legal and tax issues facing small businesses and the author of 15 books, including Small Business Survival Guide, is an attorney and small business consultant based in Fairfield. During the 1990s he hosted the PBS television series MoneyHunt, the first reality TV show for entrepreneurs.
