Two women, one in her 50s, the other in her 60s, tussled at a home on Patricia Lane on Saturday, July 25. When one called police, both wound up being charged. Darien police gave this account (consisting of accusations not proven in court) of the incident:

At 9:45 a.m., police were called. When they arrived at the home, one of the women, a 60-year-old Rowayton resident, told police that the other (a 57-year-old Darien resident) had asked to borrow $65 for a medical bill. The Rowayton woman said that when she refused to give the money, an argument began, and at one point the 60-year-old tried to leave the house, but the Darien woman had her car keys and wouldn’t give them to her. The Darien woman denied having kept the keys.
