Children & Money: Women’s Financial Literacy Roundtable

Join our new informal roundtable. In this series, Darien Library hosts lectures and discussions designed to assist women in reaching financial independence. This week’s discussion is about children and money. We’ll discuss the secrets to raising financially responsible children (ages 3-30). We will discuss a wide range of topics including:

Sorting through the pros and cons of an allowance
Determining the appropriate allowance amount
Teaching different lessons at different ages
Managing spenders versus savers
Understanding when and how to give children the wings to make their own financial decisions
Knowing the right time to give children credit cards
