Knapp Tavern, also known as Putnam Cottage, 243 East Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, is a historic, Revolutionary War tavern where Gen. Israel Putnam stayed.

Please join The Daughters of the American Revolution for a tour of Knapp Tavern-Putnam Cottage on Sunday, Nov. 26 from 2 to  4 p.m.

Docents are at the building at 243 East Putnam Ave. (Route 1) in Greenwich and ready and willing to host tours.

There will be a “Please Touch” table for children to learn about Colonial-era life and toys.

Knapp Tavern, also known as Putnam Cottage, 243 East Putnam Ave., in Greenwich, is a historic, Revolutionary War tavern where Gen. Israel Putnam stayed.

The event is sponsored by the Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

  • On Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., the Fifth Connecticut Regiment, Revolutionary War enactors, will be present, with entertainment and refreshments from the Revolutionary War era.
