Update: 5:49 p.m. — Maxie has been found. “Thanks to all the wonderful people in Darien Maxie was returned to us safe and sound this afternoon!,” her owner, Susan Wilson said in a Facebook comment.

“A huge thanks to Jim Metzger for finding Maxie and loving her until we got there,” she wrote in another comment late Saturday afternoon.

Maxie, a 10-year-old white Wheaten Terrier, has been missing since Friday afternoon. She was last seen in the area of Ox Ridge Hunt Club at the intersection of Ox Ridge Lane and Middlesex Road.

If you’ve seen her, please call owner Susan Wilson at [phone number removed now that Maxie has been found].

If you do spot her, “she’s going to be skittish,” Wilson said. Maxie weighs about 30 pounds.

In a Facebook post, a friend wrote:

“Please help find Maxie! She is a sweet Wheaten Terrier who is missing and last seen in the vicinity of Ox Ridge Hunt club at the intersection between Ox Ridge Lane and Middlesex (in Darien). She belongs to Susan and John Wilson at 24 Hanson Rd. If you spot her try to coax her to come to you. She’s very sweet and shy.”
