Ralph Tucci, 91, died on Sunday, Feb. 18. His wake will be held today (Tuesday) from 4 to 8 p.m., and his funeral on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Ralph F. Tucci, age 91 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 18. He was the loving husband for over 68 years of Gloria Conklin Tucci.

Ralph Tucci, 91, died on Sunday, Feb. 18. His wake will be held today (Tuesday) from 4 to 8 p.m., and his funeral on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Ralph was born in Norwalk on Oct. 24, 1926, the son of the late Orazio and Francesca Fiore Tucci.

He was a retired field supervisor for the Norwalk Parks & Recreation Department, last working at Veteran’s Park, and was formerly a foreman for the Benrus Corp. for many years.

Ralph was a life member of the Laurel A.C., a member of the Piedmont Club in Darien, the 709 Club in Norwalk and the Old Timers.

He loved baseball and starred on many local teams including the Laurels, Arrow Restaurant and Nash Engineering.  He also coached many teams over the years, including bringing one of his Pony League teams to the championship game.

Ralph was also very devoted to his family and will be missed very much.

In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his children Anne Marie Trapp and her husband Bill of Cromwell, Orazio Tucci and his wife Eileen of Norwalk, and Lewis Tucci and his wife Debra of Bethel; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his siblings Peter, Anthony, Joseph and Rose Tucci, Lucy Carlucci and Grace Greco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Ralph’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk today (Tuesday) from 4 to 8 p.m.
