A newspaper delivery driver whose driver’s license was suspended struck a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house on West Avenue last September, and on Sunday he was arrested on a warrant, police said.

Darien police gave these further details, including accusations not proven in court:

When police investigated the accident, they found out that the driver, Manuel Condo-Rocano, 39, knew he had struck the parked car but failed to report the matter or contact police.

Police applied for an arrest warrant, which was granted, and on Sunday Stamford police informed Darien that they had Condo-Rocano in custody.

Condo-Rocano, a resident of Myrtle Avenue in Stamford, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and evading responsibility. He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear April 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
