Police were called to the home at Little Brook Road North at midnight on Nov. 7 to 8 (Wednesday to Thursday) on a report of a physical domestic violence incident in progress.

When officers arrived at the front door, Jose Sucre, 52, met them in the front foyer. He was uncooperative with police and began to pull away from officers, then fought with them. He was told he was being temporarily detained outside the house.

Police were told by a complainant that she was upset when he arrived home intoxicated and the two got into an argument when Sucre yelled at her and a child. At one point he chased both of them around the house, hitting them both, until they ran to a room upstairs, locked themselves in and called police. Neither the complainant nor the juvenile were injured. Each gave police a sworn statement.

Sucre was arrested and said he understood why he was being arrested. Back at the police station, he hit an officer’s hand. He also argued and screamed at the officers.

Sucre was charged with interfering with an officer and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was held overnight on $5,000 bond and appeared in state Superior Court in Stamford. His bond is currently $10,000, and as of Monday, Nov. 16, he remained in jail. His is next scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
